Peter Max Heide

Born in the summer of 1958 in San Francisco, California, he grew up in Spain and was therefore exposed to various styles of flamenco music and its derivatives. Peter was heavily influenced by what is called flamenco rock, a combination of flamenco based feels and progressive rock (the main example would be a band called Triana), and by bands such as Pink Floyd, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Supertramp, Camel, Nektar and Alan Parson's Project, to name a few.

He started playing the guitar at the age of 10, and immediately felt the urge to write songs. "I was basically self taught and have been helped by a diversity of people I have met throughout the years". As a kid he already enjoyed writing poetry, so it seemed natural to transition to writing lyrics and transforming them into song.

Peter has always thrived to create his own style of music. The dream was to come to the USA with his musician friends and form a band performing an English language version of flamenco influenced progressive rock.

Now some 30 years later he has finally released an album which is the product of all this. It may not be flamenco rock and childhood friends may not be a part of it, but the original spirit remains intact.

Peace and love,
